The A Lyga is the top division of professional football in Lithuania. It is organized by LFF. League size has varied between 8 and 12 teams over the past few years; from 2021 season, the league features 10 teams. The season usually kicks off in late March/early April every year; because of the harsh climate there are no games in the winter.

Sponsorship[]

From 2012 to 2016, the A Lyga had title sponsorship rights sold to two companies; Credit Service was the most recent title sponsor, having sponsored league from 2013 through 2016.
